Delete your ChallengeCam account

Last updated: June 2026

ChallengeCam is developed by Onkar Sarvade. You can request deletion of your account and associated data stored on our servers. Challenge videos, scores, and history on your phone are not uploaded — see steps below for clearing device data.

How to request account deletion

  1. Send an email to onkarsarvade17@gmail.com from the same Google address you use to sign in to ChallengeCam.
  2. Use the subject line: Delete my ChallengeCam account
  3. In the message, confirm you want your ChallengeCam account and server-side data deleted. No other details are required.
  4. We will verify the request and delete your account within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

Data deleted from our servers

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Account profile — name, email, Google account ID, and profile photo
  • Synced preferences — default difficulty, accent color, and player count
  • Authentication tokens — active and revoked refresh tokens
  • Usage analytics tied to you — challenge session events and video export events linked to your user ID (scores, durations, template names — no video files)

Data not stored on our servers

ChallengeCam does not upload your challenge recordings. Deleting your account does not remove files on your device. To clear local data:

  • Open ChallengeCam → Settings → Sign out to clear local scores, videos, and sign-in state on that device, or
  • Uninstall the app and remove any videos saved to your camera roll manually.

Data we may keep

  • Aggregated template statistics — anonymous play and export counts across all users (not linked to your identity after account deletion)
  • Backup retention — encrypted database backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 days, then are purged automatically
