Local-first by design
ChallengeCam stores challenge videos, scores, XP, and history on your device. We do not upload your recordings to our servers.
Sign in with Google
ChallengeCam uses Google Sign-In to create and recognize your account. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
What we store on our servers
- Account — name, email, and profile photo linked to your Google account
- Preferences — default difficulty, accent color, and player count (synced when you are signed in)
- Usage analytics (optional) — anonymous session stats such as template played, score, and duration. No video files. You can turn this off anytime in Settings → Privacy.
What stays on your phone
- Recorded challenge videos (including copies saved to your camera roll)
- Scores and leaderboard history
- XP and progress stats
- Device settings such as sound effects and camera defaults
Delete your account
To request deletion of your account and server-side data, follow the steps on our account deletion page.
